He had to hold her up and try to free her foot using just one hand! Once the doe’s foot was free from the fence, the hunter picked her up – for a quick photo!Seeing an animal in trouble always makes my heart ache – but most of the time, there isn’t much we can do to help.
I would like to think that if I was presented with an opportunity, I would be able to make a difference in the life of a wild animal. A man had been hunting in Warrenton, Georgia when she saw a doe ahead of him on the road as he was returning home.
The doe was tangled in the fence – instead of taking advantage of the trapped animal, the hunter decided to see if he could set her free. The doe wasn’t too happy about seeing the hunter approach her and it took some time to calm her down.
Understandably, she was probably scared and in pain – not to mention exhausted from trying to get free. Not only did it take time for her to calm down, but the hunter struggled a little to free her foot from the fence

Who would have believed him that he had set a deer free if it hadn’t been for the video and the picture?!
As you are probably aware, deer are often hunted in the United States, but it is regulated by some state laws.
Because deer are quite populous in the US, hunting is important to help control the population, but that doesn’t make it a ‘sport’ in my book.
